Discover the breathtaking winter beauty of Wells Gray Park on this unforgettable half-day guided tour, featuring some of its most iconic waterfalls: Spahats Falls, Helmcken Falls, Moul, Triple Decker and Dawson Falls in all their winter glory. Imagine the mist on your face as you stand in awe of Spahats Falls, plunging dramatically into a rugged canyon. Witness the sheer power of Helmcken Falls, the park’s most famous landmark, as it thunders 141 meters into the gorge below creating a magnificent "snow cone".  Stroll through a scenic forest trail to Dawson Falls, often called “Little Niagara” for its wide, cascading flow and check out the icy stairs it creates. Along the way, your expert guide will share fascinating stories about the park’s history, geology, and wildlife. Perfect for those short on time but eager to experience nature’s grandeur, this tour promises stunning sights and lasting memories.

Our full day adventure includes a trip into Moul Falls.  This may require snowshoes or ice cleats as well as appropriate winter gear.

1/2 day Itinerary:

1. Spahats Falls – Canyon Viewpoint (1 to 2 hours) Begin the tour at Spahats Falls, a stunning 75-meter waterfall plunging into a dramatic volcanic canyon. Take in the breathtaking views from the main viewpoint. Snowshoe (if necessary) through a winding trail for a unique perspective of the falls and the canyon below.  Learn about the park’s fascinating geological past, shaped by ancient lava flows and glacial activity.

2. Dawson Falls – (20 to 30 min) A short snowy hike on a typically beaten in path

3. Helmcken Falls – Iconic Viewpoints (1 hour) Arrive at Helmcken Falls, the crown jewel of Wells Gray Park, towering 141 meters over the rugged canyon.  Visit the main lookout for a postcard-perfect view of the falls and hopefully, it's snowcone. For the adventurous, hike to a more secluded spot that offers a unique angle of the falls, allowing for an immersive experience of its raw power.Learn about the volcanic origins of the falls and their role in shaping the landscape.

Full Day: Includes the above, plus Moul Falls.  This will be an additional 3 hrs (approx) return hike.

Cancellation Policy for Guided Hiking Tours

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate our guests as best as possible. However, due to the extensive preparation involved in our guided tours, we have the following cancellation policy in place:

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the tour will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour are non-refundable.

No-shows or late arrivals that result in missing the tour will not be eligible for a refund.
